Pre-Kindergarten
Pre-K program promotes a love of school and learning while nurturing social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Our teachers facilitate skills of independence, self-regulation and self-initiation within a framework of a well-defined program. We encourage children to explore, to discover, and to think about the world around them. The emphasis of the learning experiences focuses mainly on the process, while literacy and mathematical components of the program are integrated formally and informally throughout daily activities. Functional and meaningful school experiences promote skills in creative thinking, problem solving and communication. A wide variety of planned activities centered on getting 4 year olds ready to excel in Kindergarten. Educational activities include science, music, art, language and early reading and numbers and early math in our eight developmentally appropriate learning centers.
